Welcome, Dr. Kevin Baker!

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Kevin Baker to the HFHS Bone & Joint Center as a new Associate Scientist. Kevin has BS and MS degrees from Michigan Technological University and a PhD in biomedical engineering from Wayne State University. Kevin served as the director of Orthopaedic research at Beaumont Health System from 2011 to 2021.

Kevin’s research interests include osteoarthritis, inflammation, biomaterials, biomechanics, tissue engineering, and clinical outcomes. His research has been supported by the Department of Defense, Lumbar Spine Research Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, AO Spine North America, American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, National Science Foundation, and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, as well as numerous private and philanthropic sources.
